I was born in Agrigento, Sicily a city which enjoyed its moment of splendour during the golden age of Magna Graecia.

Around the age of 16, and whilst studying at high school, I joined traditional Sicilian music group with which I travelled to many countries around the world.

It was during this period that I became aware of the importance of foreign languages, that is to say, of the need to COMMUNICATE. As a result, I began attending the University, where I specialized in English and Spanish at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature.

Whilst studying, I spent considerable periods abroad in a variety of countries, including England, Germany, France and Spain.

As part of my Spanish studies, I visited the city of Valencia during the 1980s and became captivated by its cultural variety and the euphoric Mediterranean temperament of its citizens

Upon finishing my university career, I decided to move to Spain permanently. I began to work as a translator for the Restoration Department at Valencia University Polytechnic's Faculty of Fine Arts before, two years later, joining the teaching staff at the Italian language and culture school, Centro Giacomo Leopardi.

After ten years, during which time I combined teaching with sporadic translation work, I decided to dedicate myself full-time to my true passion, that of translation and interpreting, and became a freelance translator.

Thus, since I first became interested in foreign languages, I have spent more than 20 years helping people to COMMUNICATE. During this time, I have worked with such clients as Feria Valencia (Valencia Exhibition Centre), the Italian Civil Defence services, Florence University Faculty of Architecture, Valencia University Faculty of Philosophy, the Vice-Chancellorship of Valencia University Polytechnic, European Union Transnational Projects, recording studios, publishing houses, historians and, of course, a great many translation agencies from around the world.
